Carers Consultation 2018

Carers Consultation 2018

We need your input, thoughts and ideas!

'A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without their support' Source: Carers Trust

We have applied for funding to the Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership to support carers in Bury the best way we can. The proposal includes community based support for all carers; creating additional capacity within the Bury Young Carers Service and development of online self-assessments for adults caring for other adults (statutory carers assessments). This does not mean it cannot include other things.

We need to shape the support we provide to carers in Bury to reflect the Greater Manchester commitment to carers including the Carers Charter and Carers Consultation 2018.

It is important we have the views of carers, the views of people who support carers and the views of people who have an understanding of the vital part carers play in the health and wellbeing of those they care for.

We would appreciate your assistance in completing this survey.

This is a 12-week, borough-wide consultation starting in September 2018. We are also inviting carers, people who support carers and anyone who may have a particular interest, to take part in planned informal discussion groups regarding carer support; Further details can be found within this survey.

Please use the blank space at the end of the survey to continue any answers, expand on any of your comments or to add anything else you want to tell us about with regards to carer support.

Following the collation of all feedback, we will publish the results of this survey here on One Community and The Bury Directory.
