Bury Council has declared a climate emergency and set a target to be carbon neutral by 2038. The Council is driving forward the climate agenda and keen to enable local groups, residents, businesses, and students to get involved. The Council is in the process of improving the energy efficiency of its estate and is working with the GMCA as well as our neighbouring Local Authorities to see how we can reduce emissions more efficiently and effectively.

The Council now has a Climate Action Strategy and Action Plan, and these can be found here
